Ann grew up on a family farm in Northwest Iowa along with her parents and three older siblings. Many of their extended family lived nearby on their family farms. The close proximity provided the foundation for her life—-faith, family, and farming.

Ann attended the nursing program at the University of Iowa and then spent over eighteen years as a labor/delivery nurse. Her joy was loving on each of the mamas as they brought their babies into this world. For the next ten years, she moved to the corporate side of health/wellness. She enjoyed supporting many people on their health/wellness journey.

Becoming an author and speaker was not on her career path until she couldn’t shake the sentence her surgeon shared with her at her first appointment. She wanted to transform all she had gained thus far and found writing and speaking to be her new platform.

Ann now resides in sunny Florida with her husband, Art, and dogs, Andy and Hero. Their children are now adults and pursuing their passions.
